Upon editorial acceptance, a payment request will be triggered inviting you to access the secure payment pages for your submission. There, you will be able to either pay online by credit card or request an invoice for offline payment.
If you choose to make payment online by credit card, you will receive a cleared invoice/payment receipt within 48 to 72 hours.
If you choose to request an invoice for offline payment, you will receive an invoice within 48 to 72 hours, which will include instructions on how to make payment by cheque, bank transfer or credit card.
The secure payment pages will remain open for 7 days. After 7 days an invoice for offline payment will automatically be generated in order not to delay the publication of your article.
Please note that offline payments will incur an administrative charge of £50/€55/$75 which you can avoid by paying online by credit card.
Upon editorial acceptance, you will be invited to complete MyPublication. There, you will be able to indicate that you would like your article to be published open access as well as order additional services such as offprints and posters.

- For open access articles submitted to hybrid Nature Research and Palgrave Macmillan journals (such as Molecular Psychiatry):
Upon editorial acceptance, you will be sent an APC form by the journal, inviting you to provide the billing information for your submission. Please return this form to the journal team who will then liaise with the Open Research Support team for your invoice to be generated.
You will receive an invoice within 48 to 72 hours, which will include instructions on how to make payment by cheque, bank transfer or credit card.
